AHOSKIE – Roanoke Electric Cooperative invites all citizens to its Earth Day Fair on Friday, April 20 to celebrate community, the return of spring, and the co-op’s new solar program, Roanoke SolarShare.

Co-op member-owners and staff, along with the general public, local businesses, community partners, and program sponsors will gather for a day of fun and festivities, including enjoying hands-on electric and hybrid vehicle demonstrations. Each co-op member-owner in attendance will receive a free raffle ticket and the chance at winning a prize of five solar panels.

In addition to the vehicle demonstrations, a variety of vendors, retailers, and food trucks will be on hand to offer different products, services, and food options for purchase and to promote citizen and community resources.

Come learn how you can support solar energy in your community and take advantage of the many benefits it offers—including cost-savings to your monthly power bill.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 20 at Roanoke Electric Cooperative, located at 518 NC Hwy 561 just west of Ahoskie. For more information, contact Patrice Jordan at 252-539-4600 or pjordan@roanokeelectric.com
