AHOSKIE, NC – Serafina Lee Jenkins Ireland, age 39, of Ahoskie, passed away on May 7, 2018 at Vidant Roanoke- Chowan Hospital.

She was born on February 27, 1979 to the late Sidney Carroll and Mary Virginia Wheeler Jenkins in Ahoskie, NC. Serafina was a fun loving person that enjoyed being around people, especially her family. She lived life to the fullest. Serafina enjoyed sleeping with her dog, Monster, and working with the State Department. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Serafina Lee is survived by her son, Dalton Ireland; her granddaughter, I’myracle Ireland; her siblings; George Lee Baker and wife Joyce, Tina Baker Rawls and husband Robert, Timothy Carrol Baker and wife Claudia, Jenny Baker Massey and husband Brian, Dedra Baker Warmack and husband Joe, Sidney Jenkins Jr. and wife Pam, and Misty Jenkins Gibbs and husband Justin, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with Pastor Greg Hurdle officiating.  Burial will follow at Aulander Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 12:45 pm, prior to the service and other times at the home of her sister, Jenny at 423 East Main Street, Conway, NC.
