MURFREESBORO, NC – Chowan University celebrated the academic and student organization accomplishments of students and faculty for the 2017-2018 academic year at the Annual Awards Day Convocation.

Carrie Blowe of Murfreesboro received the Order of the Silver Feather. The Order of the Silver Feather is an honorary service fraternity, the purpose of which is to give recognition to those students who have been especially outstanding in their service to the campus community and whose loyalty to Chowan University has been extremely noteworthy. Students are selected each year after being nominated by members of the faculty and staff.

Blowe also received the Excellence in Leadership-President Award, Mary E. Wood Science Award, and was selected as one of the 2018 Commencement Marshals.
