AHOSKIE –Vidant Health officials didn’t have to pay moving costs to relocate the new President of Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
She was already on the VRCH staff.
Earlier this week, Vidant Health announced that Judy Bruno, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, FACHE, has been named as the next president of VRCH, effective Nov. 26.
“Judy is a dynamic leader and wonderful fit for Vidant Roanoke-Chowan,” said Jay Briley, president of Vidant Health Hospitals. “She is passionate about improving the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina and is committed to
creating the best possible experience for patients and team members. Judy has demonstrated leadership throughout her diverse journey in health care and her passion for excellence will ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality of care for the community.”
Bruno has more than 25 years of health care experience and most recently provided strategic leadership and guidance at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital as the vice president of Patient Care Services. In this role she focused on achieving excellence for the hospital, through improvements in quality and experience. Since 2016, she has led and empowered team members to achieve Joint Commission Acute Stroke Ready Certification and Sleep Lab Accreditation.
“I appreciate this wonderful opportunity to be the next president of Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital,” said Bruno. “I’ve been honored to be a part of this team for the last two years as we’ve focused on creating the best experience for patients and each other. I’m excited about what is to come as we work together to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Bruno will replace the current president of Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Patrick Heins, as he transitions to become the next president of Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro.
