MURFREESBORO, NC – Daniel “Danny” Webster Beatty, 66, passed away December 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving and caring family. He valiantly fought throughout the course of his illness.

A native of Newport News, VA, he was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army and later was to retire from the State of Virginia where he had worked as Corrections Officer. He was known as a wonderful husband, father, and a family man who was always willing to help others by lending a helping hand.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Allen During Beatty and Effie Marie Harrison Beatty; and eight brothers and sisters.

His survivors include his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth June ”Beth” Cofield Beatty of their home; daughter, Brittany Beatty of Manteo, NC; his beloved sister-in-law, Kris Cofield of their home; and two sisters, Virginia Leigh West of Virginia and Peggy Bothe of Williamsburg, VA.

A memorial service for Mr. Beatty was held on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc., 605 West Main Street, Conway NC 27820. Rev. Jimmy Cox and Rev. Mickey Beatty conducted the service.
