Elizabeth H. Parker

MURFREESBORO, NC – Elizabeth Hartley “Betty” Parker, 87, widow of Ronald Milton “Spec” Parker, died Saturday May 18, 2019.

Born in Whitmire, SC, she was a daughter of the late John E. Hartley and Izetta Presnell Hartley and was also predeceased by a brother Dan Hartley, and a sister Hazel Perry.

She was a retired bookkeeper and office manager for E.R. Evans and Sons, Inc. and was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker was a member of the Woodman of the World and the Murfreesboro Lions Club.

Survivors include a son Steve Parker and his wife Kay of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Wendy Ray and her husband Doug of Powell Point, NC, and Lisa Britt and her husband Chris of Conway; one brother Michael Hartley of Texas; nine grandchildren, Shelley Krasnopolski (Michael), Raymond Maya (Linda), Carlos Maya (Allie), Jeremy Boone (Brandy), Trent Boone, Adam Boone (Cathy), Devin Ray, Neil Britt (Keelie), Parker Britt; and twelve great grandchildren, Maverick Krasnopolski, Jovian Maya, Lucia Maya, Leslie Britt, Easton Britt, Paisley Britt, Gavin Britt, Micaela Boone, Jaden Boone, Cameron Boone, Ashlynn Boone and Madison Martin.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Al Jarrell and Rev. Steve Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 6350 Center Dr. Unit 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
