AHOSKIE – As part of the NC 11 improvement project, the North Carolina Department of Transportation plans to close SR 1130 (Modlin Road). on Monday, May 27.

DOT officials say this closure, which will be at the intersection of NC 11 and Modlin Road, will allow for the installation of the bridge fill for the NC 11 overpass.

DOT currently does not have an anticipated date for re-opening of Modlin Road.

Traffic will be detoured utilizing SR 1108 (Union Road), NC 461, US 13 and NC 11 depending on which direction traffic is approaching the area.

Local traffic will be able to utilize Modlin Road on each side of NC 11 up to the area of the worksite.
