JACKSON – Eloise Spivey Smith, age 96, passed away on October 31, 2019 at the East Pavilion of Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, VA.

Mrs. Smith was born on March 17, 1923 in Jackson, Northampton County, NC, a daughter of the late Frank and Alice Barnes Spivey.

Besides her parents, Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Millard T. Smith; sisters, Helen Odom, Virgie Rowell, Lillie Bryant, Elma Warren, Doris Bridgers, Evelyn Hedspeth, and Fannye Burden Ashley; and brothers, Robert Spivey, Clyde Spivey, Wilton Spivey and Charlie Spivey.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Rachel Gassner of Yorktown, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
