LASKER – The Rams score in every inning of the five-inning game as Ridgecroft beat Northeast 12-0 in a TIC baseball game here Monday afternoon.

Bryce Stevens, Caleb Porter, and Boone Barkley combine to pitch a two-hit shutout for the Rams.

The Rams open the scoring with three runs in the top of the first. Stevens doubles and scores on a Luther Glover RBI single to center. Lane Slachta singles and Jack Jones reaches on an error to load the bases. Barkley then has a two-run single. The Rams lead 3-0 after one inning.

Ridgecroft scores one run in the top of the second as Cody Peterson scores on an error for a 4-0 lead.

The Rams add three runs in the top of the third. Justin Peterson has a RBI single and Cody Peterson has a two-run single, extending the lead to 7-0.

Ridgecroft adds four runs in the top of the fourth. Slachta walks, and Jack Jones singles. Barkley then has a two-run double. Justin Peterson has a RBI ground out, and Treyce Myers scores the final run of the inning on a wild pitch for an 11-0 lead.

Ridgecroft scores its final run in the top of the fifth on an Avery Jernigan RBI single and lead 12-0 going to the bottom of the fifth.

Barkley strikes out the final batter of the game with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth to preserve the shutout.

Barkley leads Ridgecroft with three hits and four RBI’s. Stevens and Jones each have two hits. Cody Peterson and Justin Peterson, Glover, and Myers have one hit each.

Carter Hatcher and Brandyn Polson have Northeast’s two hits.

Stevens pitches three and two-thirds innings for the win for Ridgecroft.

Polson, Michael Smith, and Hatcher pitch for Northeast.

Ridgecroft is 1-0 in the TIC.
