AHOSKIE – Perry Whitehead Martin, Sr. was born on June 28, 1928 in Creeksville, N.C. Perry served in the US Army, graduated from Wake Forest University and served several terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives and North Carolina Senate. Perry also served as a Superior Court Judge and an Attorney at Law. He passed away on May 28, 2020.

Perry is survived by his longtime companion Denise Flanagan and beloved dog Mac; his son, Perry W. Martin Jr., and wife, Denise Martin of Ahoskie, NC; his daughter, Lisa Martin of Port Richey, FL; and his granddaughters Ashton Hill of Monroe, NC and Keli Eaton of Winterville NC.
