COVID-19 drive-thru testing

Albemarle Regional Health Services and Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center have partnered with Mako Medical Laboratories of Raleigh to host a drive-thru COVID-19 testing event in the Roanoke-Chowan area.

All testing will be by appointment only. Test results notification will be with 72 hours post event.

Those living in Bertie County can visit the parking lot at Colerain Elementary School, located at 202 North Academy Street in Colerain, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17.

COVID 19 drive-thru testing in Gates County will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 at the Gates County Health Department, located at 29 Medical Center Road, Gates.

To make an appointment, call 252-862-4933 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

Those scheduling an appointment will need to bring their driver’s license or Government ID as well as their medical insurance card.

Your insurance will be billed for COVID 19 testing. Arrangements have been made to cover cost for patients who are uninsured. There will be no out-of-pocket cost for testing

Anyone 10 years of age or older, with or without insurance coverage, are eligible to be tested.

The Northampton County Health Department also announces the opening of COVID-19 Community Collection Testing Clinic at the following locations:

Town of Rich Square – Thursday, June 18 from 10 am until 1 pm in the front parking lot of Morris Auto;

Town of Garysburg – Friday June 19 from 10 am until 1 pm in the parking lot of Farmer’s Market;

Town of Gaston – Monday, June 22 from 10 am until 1 pm in the parking lot of Gaston Middle School;

Town of Conway – Friday, June 26 from 11 am until 1 pm in the parking lot adjacent to Taylor’s Pharmacy; and

Town of Seaboard – Tuesday, June 30 from 10 am until 1 pm at the Town Hall.

Call the Northampton County Health Department at 252-534-5841 to schedule your testing appointment. Everyone must call for testing appointment to ensure adequate collection testing supplies are available on site and wait times are limited.
