Due to pending inclement weather from Hurricane Isaias, Bertie County local government offices will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

In a press release sent today (Monday), county officials encouraged the public to be safe during the storm by staying off the roadways until the hurricane has passed and any affected areas have been cleared of water and debris.

“Please also keep our first responders and other critical County staff in your thoughts as those departments continue to work through the storm to better serve our citizens,” the press release stated.
