COLERAIN, NC – Edna Lee Perry Turner, 88, a resident of the Villages at Woods Edge, Franklin, VA and formerly of Eugene Freeman Road, Colerain, died Friday, October 30, 2020.
She was born in Bertie County to the late James Lessie and Dora Lee Perry and predeceased by her husband, Robert Cecil (Bobby) Turner Sr.; son, Robert C. Turner, Jr.; granddaughter, Kyla McKay Turner; brothers, Vernard and Henry Perry; and sisters, Melba White, Florence Brown and Irene Jones.
Edna was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Perrytown and Bethel Assembly of God in Askewville. She was former supervisor at Blue Bell Manufacturing and a retired poultry farmer.
A private Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the White-Perry Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor. In keeping with COVID-19 recommendations, the family requests that all invited guests wear masks and practice social distancing.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Lee Turner of Lakeland, FL; son, Michael Wayne Turner of Franklin, VA; brothers, Sidney Perry of Hertford, and James L. Perry, Jr. of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Mickey Turner of Eure, NC, Nikki Turner of Wilmington, NC, Stephanie Blacknall of Franklin, VA, and Dalles Turner of Ahoskie, NC; and seven great grandchildren.
