HARRELLSVILLE – Hilton Earl Miller, age 73, of Swain’s Mill Road, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Mr. Miller was born on November 6, 1947 to Talmon Conner “T.C.” and Macy Harrington Miller in Suffolk, VA. Upon graduating high school, Hilton went into the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War during which time he was injured. Once Hilton was released with an honorable discharge he settled down in Alaska, before returning home to help care for his ailing father. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to travel back to Alaska to visit the friends that he had made during his stay there. Along with his parents, Hilton was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Miller Futrell.

Hilton is survived by his aunt, Edith Harrington Smith of Aulander and numerous cousins.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with military honors and Pastor Greg Hurdle, officiating. The family ask that due to COVID-19 guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
