GATESVILLE, NC – Marty Glenn Perry, age 58, of Hwy 37 South, passed away suddenly on Saturday March 6, 2021 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.
Mr. Perry was born on June 27, 1962 to J P Perry and Dorothy Holland Perry in Wilson, NC. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. Marty enjoyed his life as a roofer, beginning at a young age. He spent most of his time riding ATVs with his grandchildren. Marty was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Along with his mother, Marty was preceded in death by a nephew, James Cornett.
Marty is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Lungahi and husband Joseph of Port Orange, FL, and Crystal Lee and husband Brad of Gatesville, NC; stepdaughter, Alice Carter of Oak City, NC; fiancĂ©, Brenda Carter of Gatesville, NC; three grandsons, Brennan Lee, Jase Lee, and Jayden Lungahi; two granddaughters, Kaylee Lee, and Destinie Lungahi; two sisters, Beverly Perry, and Teresa “Big Red” Ellis; brother, Ricky Perry; numerous nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID circumstances, family and friends are ask to come view and sign the guest book anytime from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lee Family Cemetery, Gatesville, NC with Pastor Walter Johnston officiating.
