WINTON – The Board of Directors of the C.S. Brown Regional Cultural Arts Center and Museum will be celebrating the 135th Founder’s Day for the C.S. Brown School at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 28.
The special program is scheduled to take place outside of the facility, unless there is inclement weather.
Martin Jones, a noted historian and graduate of the school, will be highlighting the work of Dr. C.S. Brown.
Mrs. Ethel Tyree, one of the school’s remaining teachers, will be honored, in addition to 1951 graduate, John W. Eley.
A special Memorial Ceremony will also take place in remembrance of valuable board members and financial supporters lost during 2020.
Music will be provided by Mr. Larry Gaines, a 1966 graduate of the school.
The public is invited to attend.
