Hertford County peanut farmers receive recognition for high yields

Three Hertford County farms received special recognition for impressive peanut yields in the 2020 North Carolina Peanut Yield Contest.

Earl White and Sons Farms won the Hertford County Peanut Yield contest as well as the overall 2020 North Carolina Peanut Yield Contest. This is a major accomplishment and honor.

Earl White and Sons Farms, S & S Farms Partnership, and Holloman Farms all received recognition for exceeding a two ton per acre yield, earning a special Hertford County recognition known as the “Two Ton Club”.

S & S Farms Partnership and Earl White and Sons farms also received recognition in North Carolina’s “5000 Pound Club”, meaning a yield of over 5000 pounds of peanuts per acre.

Earl White and Sons Farms is a grower for Sandy Land Peanut Company, and S & S Farms Partnership is a grower for both Sandy Land Peanut Company and Severn Peanut Company.
