JACKSON – The following are recent arrests made by the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office:
On 9/15/2021, 37-year-old Delane Shoulders was arrested by Deputy A. Hargrave at his residence in Margarettsville. He was arrested and served an outstanding fugitive warrant out of Virginia and he was also served an outstanding warrant for domestic violence order violation. He received no bond pending extradition to Virginia.
On 10/2/2021, Deputy J. Comeaux responded to a domestic disturbance in Pendleton and upon investigation, 57-year-old Russell Franks was arrested. He was charged with domestic criminal trespassing and misdemeanor breaking and entering. He received a 48-hour domestic hold and next court date scheduled for 10/19/2021.
On 10/8/2021, Sgt. A. Taylor, Sgt. Horton, and Sgt. Deloatch located 35-year-old Billy Abel his residence outside of Rich Square where he was found hiding underneath the kitchen cabinet to evade arrest by law enforcement. He was served outstanding warrants by Sgt. A. Taylor for financial card theft, financial card fraud, and conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses. He received a $50,000 secured bond and next court date scheduled for 10/28/2021. On 10/9/2021, Billy Abel was also served an outstanding fugitive warrant out of the State of Mississippi and he received no bond pending extradition.
On 10/11/2021, Sgt. W. Whitley served an outstanding warrant on 55-year-old Melinda Outland of Lasker for assault by strangulation. She received a $1,000 unsecured bond and a court date on 10/14/2021. These warrants were the result of an investigation conduced by Deputy A. Burgess that occurred on 7/26/2021.
On 10/12/2021, 43-year-old Malcolm Edwards of Woodland was located at his residence by Narcotics Unit and patrol units where he was arrested for four outstanding orders for arrest. Deputy J. Comeaux served warrants where Edwards received a $10,000 cash bond and a court date scheduled for 11/4/2021.
