Lucci is a ‘five-peat’ All-Conference selection

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas released their 2021 Women’s Soccer All-Conference Award winners on Wednesday morning selected by the league head coaches.
With the additional year of eligibility because of COVID-19, Chowan University’s Carolina Lucci became the first player in league history to be named Conference Carolinas First Team all five seasons. Lucci is also the only player to have been named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year (2017), Player of the Year (2017), and five-time First Team (2017-21) during her career.
Lucci scored 10 goals and added two assists during the regular season. The Monaca, PA native scored two goals in the first round match up against Barton to bring her season total to 12 and career total to 51. Lucci finished her career with 51 goals and 16 assists to move to a tie atop the all-time points in program history with 118.
Chowan’s Sabrina Henderson earned Conference Carolinas Second Team after posting 10 goals and five assists during the regular season. Henderson added an assist in the final match of the season.
Henderson adds the Second Team accolade to her total after picking up a pair of First Team selections (2018, 2021 Spring), and a Third Team selection in 2017. The Lake Mary, Fla. native finished her career with 32 goals and 17 assists to finish with 81 career points. All three categories are in the top-four in program history.
Chowan added a third All-Conference selection as Cristina Flores followed up her freshman season with a Conference Carolinas Third Team selection. The Manassas, VA native posted two goals and three assists on the season in the midfield.
