The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) has finalized the 2022 Men’s & Women’s Basketball Playoff Brackets with first round games scheduled for the home of the higher seed on Tuesday, Feb. 22.

First round pairings are listed below.

Bertie’s girls are the top seed in the Class 1A East. Hertford County’s girls are the #2 seed in the Class 2A East. The Northampton County girls (#15 in the Class 1A East) will also have an opening round state play-off game at home.

Hertford County’s boys are the #5 seed in the Class 2A East. The Bears open the state play-offs at home on Tuesday.

The Northampton County boys (#19), Bertie boys (#23), and Gates County boys (#32) each earned a berth in the Class 1A East bracket and all will face opening round games on the road.

Tickets are sold by the host school for early round games and are $7 for single game sites and $8 for sites hosting two games that night.

The State Championships will be held on Saturday, March 12 at UNC’s Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill and Reynolds Coliseum at NC State University in Raleigh.
