COLERAIN, NC – Michael Manly Perry, age 71, of River Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 3, 2022.

Mr. Perry was born on June 27, 1950 to Melvin Lynn Perry and Eloise Burch Perry in Ahoskie, NC. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting, fishing and bird watching. He had a successful career in insurance for many years. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, westerns, and most of all spending time with his family. Mike was a member at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. His dog Fella was his faithful companion for truck rides and sitting by his side. Mike was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Linnie Perry, and Melvin Perry.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory is his beloved wife, Nancy; two sons, Michael Manly Perry Jr. and wife Crystal of Adkins, TX; and Lynn Perry and wife Meredith of Wilmington, NC, step-son, Dave Brooks and wife Susan of Hillsborough, NC; six granddaughters, Gloria Silguero and husband Ricky, Ella Perry, Amanda Perry, Bonnie Perry, Phebe Perry, and Trinity Perry; two grandsons, Michael Perry, III and Zachary Brooks; one great granddaughter, Oaklen Silguero; and a brother, Warner Perry and wife Ann of Edenton, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Dr. Paul R. Gilliam, III officiating.
