MURFREESBORO – A local woman was tragically killed during a two-vehicle accident near here Saturday morning.
Bianca Eason, 32, of Murfreesboro lost her life as the result of the crash, which occurred on US 258 just south of the US 158/258 Bypass, according to Sgt. Levern Bynum of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
According to a preliminary report filed by NCHP Trooper J.S. Mizelle, Eason was operating a Jaguar passenger car southbound on US 258 shortly past 7:15 a.m. Meanwhile, a Ford pick up truck, operated by 36-year-old Scott McLamb, also of Murfreesboro, was northbound on US 258.
“Our preliminary investigation at this point leads us to believe that Ms. Eason’s vehicle traveled left of center and struck Mr. McLamb’s vehicle head-on,” said Sgt. Bynum. “The accident remains under investigation.”
Bynum added that McLamb was injured and transported to Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie. The extent of McLamb’s injuries is unknown.
