GREENVILLE, SC – Head Coach Josh Seese along with Jackson Downs and Jaxon Martin were named to the 2022 Conference Carolinas Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference selected by the league’s head coaches.
Seese, in his third year at Chowan, was named Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year for the first time in program history. Seese was instrumental in guiding the Hawks to their second postseason appearance and first since the 2018 season. The Hawks posted a 6-8 overall record, marking the second most wins behind the 2018 team. The Blue and White produced a top-three offense in the league by leading the league in points per game (23.14), second in goals per game (13.93), and third in total goals (195).
Downs, senior midfielder, became the first men’s lacrosse member to be named First Team All-Conference. The midfielder recorded 61 points for 36 goals and 25 assists to go with 29 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers as a two-way player. Downs adds the First Team selection to his 2021 Second Team nod.
Martin collected a Second Team All-Conference selection after leading the Conference Carolinas in goals (59), goals per game (4.21), points (79), and points per game (5.64). Those marks also rank in the top-10 in the NCAA.
