WENDELL, NC – Almeta Flood James of Wendell, NC departed this life on Thursday, May 5, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC. Visitation will precede the service from 10:30 until 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner, NC.

Survivors include her daughters, Leadon Newsome (Louis) of Apex, NC, Deborah Ann Mountain (George) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Pamela Mayo (Harold) of Wendell, NC; sisters, Sylvia Hall (Arthur) of Cofield, NC and Vivian Holmes of Florida; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transitions Life Center of Raleigh in honor of Almeta James.
