Northeast Academy tops Christ Covenant

LASKER – Northeast Academy’s girls tennis team stepped outside conference play this week and the Lady Eagles notched a 7-2 win against Christ Covenant School.
In singles play, the Lady Eagles recorded wins at the #2 seed (Harley Pierce defeating Claire Cannon: 6-4, 6-1); #3 seed (Arland Davis defeating Amelia Seyler: 6-1, 6-1); #5 seed (Madison Dallas defeating Laura Malezkski: 5-7, 7-6, 10-7); and #6 seed (Brianna Robinson defeating Emily Floyd: 6-3, 6-3).
Northeast won all three doubles matches:
#1 Sarah Kate Ricks and Harley Pierce, 8-5, over Parker/Seyler;
#2 Arland Davis and Lena Taylor, 8-2, over Cannon/Emily Floyd); and
#3 Madison Dallas and Brianna Robinson, 8-3, over Malezkski/Anna Floyd.
In an exhibition match, Northeast Academy’s Summer Deloatch defeated Emily Floyd, 5-3.
