AHOSKIE, NC – Mary Patricia Larsen passed away peacefully with many family members in attendance on September 21, 2022.

Mary was born of William P. Larsen, Jr. and Madeleine (Hagan) Larsen on July 2, 1951 in Bay Ridge in Brooklyn, New York. As one of eight children, Mary grew up mostly in Emerson, New Jersey, where she graduated from the town’s High School. Mary attended and graduated from Mount Saint Joseph’s College in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1973.

Mary spent a major portion of her working career with Bennett Pallet Box, Inc., which in 1981 led her to her hometown of Ahoskie, NC where she resided for over 40 years until her passing.

Mary is survived by her seven siblings and their children: William P. Larsen, III, Matthew J. Larsen, Anne Scaduto (husband Michael and children Michael and Christopher), Patricia Avento (husband John, children Joseph, Matthew John, Daniel, John Nicholas and William), Jennifer Larsen, Christine Hannah (children Timothy, Michael, Elizabeth and Mary), and James Larsen (wife Noel, children K. Elizabeth, B. Emily, J. Hagan and K. Hallie).

Mary was an avid golfer in earlier years and had a great affinity for sea cruising with her father and various family members over the years. She will be sorely missed by her family and her many friends from Ahoskie and New Jersey.

Funeral service will be held at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Ahoskie, NC on October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
