LASKER – Northeast Academy’s tennis team swept past two opponents in their most recent outings.
The latest win came Tuesday in Henderson where the NEA ladies defeated Kerr-Vance Academy, 6-3.
Winners in singles play for Eagles were second seeded Harley Pierce (8-4), third-seeded Arland Davis (9-8), fifth-seeded Madison Dallas (8-5), and sixth-seeded Brianna Robinson (by default).
In doubles action, the second-seeded pairing of Arland Davis and Lena Taylor won 9-7 while the third-seeded duo of Madison Dallas and Brianna Robinson won by default.
During their recent trip to Greenville, Northeast defeated
Christ Covenant School, 6-3.
Winners in singles play for Northeast included top-seeded Sarah Kate Ricks (8-2), second-seeded Harley Pierce (8-1), third-seeded Arland Davis (8-3), and fifth-seeded Madison Dallas (8-6).
Summer Deloatch won her singles exhibition match, 6-4.
In doubles action, Northeast collected wins by the top-seeded duo of Ricks and Pierce (8-2) and the third-seeded pairing of Dallas/Robinson (8-6).
