WOODLAND – The Menola Community Club will hold its 38th annual Soup Day from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Menola Community Building.
Again this year, club members will not be serving lunch. Quarts of soup will be sold for $10 each and homemade pimento cheese will be available in 8-ounce containers for $5 each.
There will also be a Bake Sale.
Weather permitting, everything will be outside with drive thru pickup available.
Quarts may be reserved by calling Gwen Northcott Baker 252-587-2407), Pat Burke (252-587-6461) or Susan Lewis (252-344-3941).
A raffle drawing will take place at 1 pm. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each with five chances to win. The prizes are a $50 Shell Gift Card donated by Jernigan Oil, a Gift Certificate donated by Eddie Harrell’s Auto and Sports Store, a Gift Certificate donated by The Grapevine Cafe, a quilt set and a Christmas wreath made by Vickie Rawls.
Proceeds will be used for the maintenance of the Menola Community Building.
