NEA wins three of four vs. Oakwood

LASKER – Northeast Academy posted victories in three of its four games here Monday at home in non-conference action against Oakwood School.
In the jayvee girls game, Arland Davis scorched the nets for 22 points to highlight a 28-17 win. Lena Taylor (4) and Sebrina Piland (2) added to the winning effort.
The NEA jayvee boys raced out to a 23-6 halftime lead en route to a 36-12 victory. Camden White tallied a game-high 10 points to lead the Eagles. Key Minix (7), Mason Vann (6), Preston Ordnung (5), Jake Parks (5), and Nate Barnes (2) rounded out the NEA scoring.
In the varsity girls game, Northeast outscored their guests 22-5 in the second half to come away with a 38-15 win. Hayes Hatcher scored a game-high 16 points to lead the winning effort. Gracie Baker (6), Chloe Long (6), Leah McDermott (6), Sarah Sumner (4), and Sarah Kate Ricks (2) completed the scoring for the Lady Eagles.
The Northeast varsity boys rallied from a halftime deficit by outscoring their guests, 25-21, in the second half, but fell by a 48-35 count. Judson Smith led the Eagles with 13 points. Chance Lassiter (9), Dalton Vann (5), Hunter Martin (3), Mickey Klemiuk (3), and Jaden Medford (2) rounded out the NEA scoring.
