Rams rally past Warriors

AHOSKIE – Ridgecroft School outscored visiting Lawrence Academy 48-25 in the second half to rally past the Warriors, 76-60, here Tuesday night in a Tarheel Independent Conference varsity boys basketball game.
The Rams placed five players in double figures, led by 15 points each from Emmanuel Savage and Baylor Edwards. Sawyer Chamblee added 13 points while Justin Peterson and Bill Vaughan chipped in 10 points apiece.
Savage was perfect (4-of-4) from behind the three-point arc. Edwards added to that long-range attack by sinking three of his five three-point attempts.
Nacir Lewis pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to add to Ridgecroft’s winning effort.
Mari Larry scored a game-high 19 points to pace Lawrence. Conner Ferebee added 10 points for the Warriors.
Ridgecroft improved to 8-1 overall with the win. Lawrence fell to 9-6 overall.
