LASKER – The Athletics program at Northeast Academy will host a fundraising golf tournament on Friday, May 5 at Valley Pine Country Club.

NEA Athletics Director Joella Brown said the school needs to replace the floor of its gym and that proceeds from the golf tournament will help in that endeavor.

“The life expectancy of the floor we had installed in 1983 was 20 years, so it has served us well but is now in need of replacing,” Brown said. “We are raising money to replace the gym floor and the golf tournament will help us do that. We are looking for teams and sponsors to participate in the golf tournament.”

The tournament format will be 4-man super ball. The fee is $240 per four-person team, which includes mulligans.

Lunch is included in the registration fee.

Awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place teams as well as closet to the pin.

Registration is from 8-8:45 a.m. Tee time is 9 a.m.
