RCCC Foundation to host golf tournament on May 5

AHOSKIE – The Roanoke-Chowan Community College Foundation will host a “Golf for Education” Superball Tournament on Friday, May 5 at Beechwood Country Club.
Registration is currently open for team, hole, cart, and dinner sponsorships. The registration deadline is Friday, April 14.
The golf fees are $100 per player, and payments must be made payable to RCCC Foundation. All sponsorships along with other monetary donation amounts must also be made payable to RCCC Foundation. Registrations can be emailed to foundation@roanokechowan.edu or and mailed to PO Box 1248, Ahoskie, NC 27910.
All proceeds from this event will benefit the R-CCC Foundation. The Foundation was initially formed to increase funding for both academic and community programs. Roanoke-Chowan Technical Institute created an independent foundation in 1975.
Led by Robert H. Jernigan, Jr. and H.C. Freeland, the Roanoke-Chowan Technical Institute Foundation began raising money to be used for student scholarships. In 1990, the foundation was renamed in conjunction with the name change of the college. Today, the foundation continues to offer scholarships for students and funding for special projects requested by the College.
