By all accounts, Murfreesboro’s Christmas decorations this season were spectacular. The 14-foot holiday tree that was placed next to Southern Bank was indeed an eye catcher with its beautiful decorations.

The Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce is spearheading a project to help “grow” the Christmas tree from 14 feet to 18 feet.

The Chamber s seeking to raise $3,500 by the end of January for this project. By meeting that deadline, the cost of the tree’s extensions will be 33 percent lower. The deadline to purchase at this discount is January 26, 2024.
