AULANDER – James Duncan Jones, a skilled construction worker, passed away on March 13, 2024, at his home on Millennium Road, following complications from kidney failure. He was born on October 25, 1978, in Hertford County, North Carolina.
James, who was fond of fishing, music, playing guitar, attending concerts, and skateboarding, led a life filled with simple pleasures and close friendships. He is survived by his wife, Shannon Renee Jones, and cherished memories will be shared with those who knew him best. James was 45 years old at the time of his passing. May his soul rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the memories they shared with James.
James Jones was preceded in death by his father, William C. Jones; mother, Teresa A. Warren Jones; grandmother, Alice Jones; and grandparents, TK, Jr., and Ada Leigh Warren. Left to honor his memory are his grandfather, Wilmer Jones; uncles, Thomas “TK” Warren, III, Jerry Jones (Linda), and Mike Jones (Anita); aunts, Mary Warren Gregory (Randy) and Cathy Jones Clinton; cousins, Angie Gregory Brown (Jason), Corey Gregory (Jen), Doug Clinton, Jennifer Clinton, Michael Jones, Hannah Langford, Alexis Brown Umphlett (Cody), Carlie Gregory, and Weston Gregory; as well as his best friends, Seth Bowen, Alan Scott, Michael Williams, and Glen Baker, along with numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of life graveside service for James will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Dr. Mark Gaskins officiating.
Due to the sudden and unexpected death of James, the family is asking for help with final expenses for James’s burial.
