GREENVILLE, SC – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) unveiled the Southeast Region All-Region selections last week with Daylan Askew representing Chowan University.

Daylan Askew earned Second Team All-Region honors after rewriting the Chowan men’s basketball single-season record books during his junior campaign. The Ahoskie native produced a single-season record of 563 points, 186 made field goals, and averaged 19.4 points per game.

Askew was named First Team All-Conference Carolinas for his efforts while helping the Hawks to a school record 20 wins this season and a trip to the Conference Carolinas tournament semifinals.

Askew earns All-Region honors for the first time in his career, and the first time since the 2009-10 season for the program (Jaleel Nelson and Lando Morrison, NCCAA).

The junior guard joins KJ Jones II from Emmanuel and Uzziah Dawkins from Converse on the All-Region teams from the Conference Carolinas.
