Leggett, a native of Conway, brings a wealth of experience and a passion for graphic design to her new role.

Leggett’s journey in the field of graphic communications began at Chowan University, where she studied from 2013 to 2015. She furthered her education at Appalachian State University in graphic communications from 2015 to 2016.

Over the past few years, Leggett has been working for Paisley and Olive, her small business, while simultaneously serving as a full-time caregiver for her grandmother, who was bed-bound with dementia. Additionally, she has been substituting at Northeast Academy.

Expressing her enthusiasm for her new position, Leggett stated, “I am super excited about working with people and bringing their design visions to print. I am so grateful to be back where I first found my love for graphic design.”

As the Print Production Technician, Leggett will be responsible for managing orders received through the University Graphics Services Program. Her role will involve designing and printing various materials for both the university and the community.

Leggett is also a proud mother to Paisley, her six-year-old daughter. The Chowan University campus holds a special place in Paisley’s heart as she enjoys exploring the ponds in search of geese and turtles, as well as counting the numerous squirrels in Squirrel Park.

“Chowan University is thrilled to welcome Allyson Leggett to the Graphic Services Team and looks forward to the valuable contributions she will make in her new role as the Print Production Technician,” shared Kyle Johnson, Director of Information Technology. “ Her expertise and dedication to graphic design will undoubtedly enhance the university’s printing services and further strengthen its commitment to providing exceptional design solutions.”
