AHOSKIE – The Gallery Theatre, the Roanoke-Chowan’s Community Theatre, announces its summer theatre camp productions of Finding Nemo Kids and Aladdin Jr.

Finding Nemo Kids and Aladdin Jr will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children ages 6 and under are admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. If buying tickets at the door, please have check or cash. The link for the tickets is on the poster around town or eventsgroove.com.

For over 50 years, The Gallery Theatre has held its annual theatre camp for young people in the area. This year, The Gallery Theatre teamed up with LimeLight Theater to give participants a taste of what it is like to work in professional theatre. LimeLight Theater is the future home of Ahoskie’s movie theatre as well as the region’s professional theatre for younger audiences.

Participants of the theatre camp range in age from 6-16 and represent Hertford, Bertie, Gates and Northampton counties. The youth have been working on theatrical skills and rehearsing the two productions for the past four weeks. Participants have learned skills in acting, singing, dancing and stage craft.
