WINTON – Hertford County Public Schools (HCPS) announces that Chowan University has generously provided a clear backpack for every student.

Each backpack displays both the HCPS and Chowan University logos, symbolizing the strong and growing partnership between the two institutions.

HCPS officials say this initiative reflects Chowan University’s commitment to supporting students and enhancing their educational experience.

Dr. Jesse J. Pratt, Superintendent of HCPS, expressed his deep gratitude to Chowan University for this thoughtful gesture.

“Our partnership with Chowan is growing stronger, and we appreciate their ongoing support for our students. These backpacks are more than just school supplies; they represent the collaboration and shared commitment to the success of our students,” Dr. Pratt stated.

Dr. Rosemary Thomas, President of Chowan University, emphasized the university’s dedication to the local school system.
