AHOSKIE – Local churches will be joined by Hertford County Public Schools and the Hertford County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, Oct. 5 for a Unity Prayer.

At 10 a.m., prayer will commence for 30 minutes at the following local churches:

Ahoskie Soul Saving Station, 337 Ahoskie-Cofield Road,

Ahoskie;

Carpenter’s Shop Church International, 903 South Catherine Creek Road, Ahoskie;

Kingdom Building Healing and Deliverance For All People, 2209 US 13 South, Ahoskie; and

Mercy Church, 127 NC 42 West, Ahoskie.

Afterwards, prayer will continue at Hertford County High School, 1500 West First Street, Ahoskie.

“The purpose of this event is to bring about unity amongst churches, law enforcement, the school system, and the community to pray over this city and over our youth,” said Jarvis Parker of Kingdom Building Healing and Deliverance For All People.
