JACKSON – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office has recently made the following arrests:

On Oct. 18, Deputy J. Johnson arrested and charged 63-year-old Larry Knight of Garysburg for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. These charges resulted from routine patrol and investigation in the Garysburg area.

During this same investigation, Deputy J. Johnson also arrested and charged 55 year old Victor Allen of Garysburg for possession of firearm by felon, felony possession of marijuana, PWISD marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed gun, and resisting a public officer. Allen was arrested after a brief foot chase.

On Oct. 20, Sgt. R. Giglio, Sgt. B. White, and Deputy D. Williams responded to a domestic dispute at a location in Severn. Upon arrival and investigation, officers arrested and charged 52-year-old Matthew Mattox with assault on a female. He received a 48-hour domestic hold and a court date scheduled for 11/19/2024.

On Oct. 23, Deputy D. Williams served an outstanding warrant out of the Garysburg Police Dept. on 45-year-old Monica Simmons of Garysburg for financial card theft and obtain property false pretense. She received a no bond due to pretrial integrity law. A court date was scheduled for 11/7/2024.

Simmons was previously arrested on Oct. 18 by Deputy J. Johnson in the Garysburg area while on patrol where he found her to be in possession of narcotics while conducting an arrest for unrelated orders for arrest. She was charged with felony possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $1,000 secured bond on these charges. She received a $2,500 secured bond for the outstanding orders for arrest failure to appear.

Oct. 23, Deputy G. Prescott and Deputy T. Stephenson located and arrested 42 year old Timothy Cross of Garysburg for assault on a female and injury to personal property. He received a 48 hour domestic hold and a court date scheduled for 11/19/2024.

On Nov. 6, Sgt. R. Giglio served an outstanding fugitive warrant for two counts grand larceny out of Southampton County (Virginia) on 40 year old Terri Bailey of Rich Square. She received no bond pending extradition to Virginia.

Bailey was recently arrested and charged by Deputy R. Friedrich for flee / elude arrest with motor vehicle, expired registration, and reckless driving to endanger. These charges resulted from an incident that occurred on 10/14/2024 at a local store and a local housing community for harassment and communicating threats. Upon arrival and investigative vehicle stop, Bailey led officers on a vehicle pursuit through the area of Conway with vehicle speeds reaching 80 mph. Bailey was later apprehended in Jackson where she was arrested without further incident and her vehicle seized. She received a $2,500 secured bond for these charges with a court date scheduled for 11/7/2024.

On Nov. 4, Deputy K. Joyner and Sgt. R. Giglio located and served and outstanding warrant on 32-year-old Jamie Tyndell of Murfreesboro for simple assault. She received a 48-hour domestic hold and a court date scheduled for 12/2/2024.

On Nov. 7, Sgt. R. Giglio served an outstanding warrant on 30-year-old Matthew Ireland of Rich Square for misdemeanor breaking & entering and misdemeanor second degree trespassing. He received a $1,500 secured bond.

On Nov. 12, Deputy B. Johnson served an outstanding warrant out of Halifax Co. on 58-year-old George Drewette of Jackson for breaking & entering intent to terrorize and/or injure. He received a written promise to appear and a court date scheduled for 11/21/2024 in Halifax Co.

On Nov. 16, Deputy D. Williams obtained warrants on 31-year-old Nashown Alston of Roanoke Rapids for felony breaking & entering with intent to terrorize and/or injure, felony larceny after breaking & entering, misdemeanor domestic violence protective order violation, and misdemeanor communicating threats. These warrants are outstanding and anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact Northampton Co. On Nov. 19, Sgt. A. Johnson served an outstanding warrant on 38-year-old Jermel Broady of Pleasant Hill for robbery with a dangerous weapon. He received a $25,000 secured bond and a court date scheduled for 12/5/2024.

On Nov. 20, Deputy J. Johnson, Capt. C. Boden, Sgt. B. White, Sgt. M. Deloatch, Deputy D. Williams, Deputy B. Johnson, and Deputy K. Cogdill located and arrested 31-year-old Morgan Rainey of Durham for outstanding warrants out of Durham County. He was arrested after a brief standoff at a residence in Henrico where he barricaded himself inside. Warrants included one count flee / elude arrest with a motor vehicle, injury to personal property, and second-degree trespassing. He received a $1,000 secured bond and a court date scheduled for 12/2/2024 in Durham.

On Nov. 24, Deputy J. Johnson located and arrested 19-year-old Cincere Pugh of Rich Square for outstanding warrants for felony larceny from a person, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, misdemeanor communicating threats, misdemeanor injury to personal property, misdemeanor child abuse, and misdemeanor larceny. He received a $2,500 secured bond on the child abuse charge and received no bond on all other charges pending 48-hour domestic hold. He was given a court date scheduled for 12/17/2024. These warrants were the result of an investigation conducted by Deputy K. Joyner on 11/16/2024 and warrants obtained on 11/17/2024.
