MURFREESBORO – Carson Allen Revelle, of Hertford County, North Carolina, affectionately known as “Gramps” to his grandchildren, passed away peacefully at his home on December 12, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on October 3, 1956, in Hertford County, Allen spent his entire life surrounded by the community he dearly loved.
Allen dedicated 26 years of his life working at the tube mill, where he was known for his diligence and commitment. Despite his industrious career, Allen found joy in many hobbies and interests that truly defined his spirit. An avid gardener, he delighted in cultivating his own little paradise, often nurturing plants in his greenhouse before transferring them to his garden. He was also a skilled carpenter, committed to building his own house, showcasing his talent and perseverance.
Allen had a particular fondness for cutting grass, making knick-knacks, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life, such as bringing flowers—even if just a dandelion—to his beloved wife, Deborah. His love for Chowan football games with his grandson Grayson was unparalleled, and he could frequently be found cheering passionately for the Raiders and the Boston Red Sox, reflecting his deep appreciation for all sports. Every afternoon, you could find him at the barn with his best friends, enjoying their company and playing the ring game. He was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church. Carson Allen Revelle will be remembered for the kindness and warmth he brought to those who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carson Evans Revelle and Margie Catherine Landing Revelle.
Allen is survived by his cherished wife, Deborah C. Parker Revelle; his son, Allen Revelle and wife Ashley of Ahoskie; his daughter, Brandy Revelle of Jackson; his children by marriage, Gabriel Lee Parker and Joshua Jeremiah Parker; granddaughters, Olivia Catherine Revelle, Victoria Elaine Revelle, Autumn Rose Vann, Chloe Brielle Parker, and Aliana Grace Ray; grandsons, Grayson Allen Revelle, Noah Parker, and Ethan Parker; three great grandchildren; as well as his dear brother, Dillon Evans Revelle and wife Jane of Suffolk, VA; along with many extended family members and friends.
