The crime occurred Dec. 9 on Highway 17 bypass near the Wakelon Road exit where Mitchell and another suspect, 28-year-old Keldedra Rascoe of Robersonville, allegedly planned to steal a vehicle. They were unsuccessful in the car theft, but did take several items, including a weapon.
