A native of Rich Square has lost her home and the majority of her belongings in one of the fires that has caused widespread damage in the Los Angeles, California area.
Carol (Jo) Vick is one of the thousands of people whose homes have burned to the ground during a rash of horrific wildfires in California. She was affected by the Eaton fire.
Vick lost nearly everything. She was able to save her important papers and her sewing machines with some of the equipment she needs to continue her profession as a wardrobe stylist, custom designer, and alterations specialist.
Vick’s friends back home have established a GoFundMe page to help her get back on her feet. Visit wwwgofundme.com and search for Carol (Jo) Vick to make a donation.
“Whether she is an old friend, new friend, dear friend, or even a stranger, she needs help desperately,” says the message on the GoFundMe page set up for Vick. “Please consider helping her with whatever you can possibly do.
“She is such a deserving person who has worked so hard her entire life to obtain what she has lost in this devastating situation. However, she is trying to maintain a positive attitude and will persevere through this.
“Thank you for whatever you can possibly contribute as it will be so highly appreciated.”
