Lewis Harrell

Lewis Warren Harrell, 85, died Sunday, November 9, 2008.
He was born May 28, 1923 in Bertie County.
He worked in the computer field and at his step-father’s stockyard outside Rich Square.
Harrell was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a graduate of the University of North Carolina.
He is survived by one son, Martin Harrell of Glenside, PA; one daughter, Hannah Louise Mitchell of New Bern; three grandchildren; his former wife, Hilda Ruth Harrell of Rocky Mount; one half-sister, Marie Holoman of Rocky Mount; and two half-brothers, Reuben Benthall of Raleigh and John Benthall of Farmville.
Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24 at Parker-Harrell Family Cemetery in Rich Square.
