Verlean Bond, 82, died August 24, 2008 at Bertie Memorial Hospital.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday at Gilliam Funeral Home, Windsor. Burial will be in the Bond family cemetery.
