Anthony J. Waicul

Anthony John Waicul, 99, was born June 3, 1915 in New York to Anna and Adam Waicul.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack. He served in the South Pacific. He received the American Defense Service Medal, with the Bronze Service Star, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
He worked as a caretaker for R.J. Reynolds in Greenwich, CT and on the Matthews Estate in Long Island, NY.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Eleanor Poole Waicul; a brother, Edward Waicul; and a sister, Florence Roth.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas Waicul (Mary) of Colerain, and Ronald A. Waicul (Ellen) of Carson City, NV; seven grandchildren, Lynn Waicul, Thomas B. Waicul of Amsterdam, NY, Anthony J. Waicul (Nikki) of Forest, VA, Doreen Dimitri (Pete) of Colerain, Katrina Penman (Josh) of Stagecoach, NV, Stephen Waicul of Nevada, and Jessica Waicul of Columbus, OH; and two sisters, Helen Bishop of California, and Antoinette Bucher of Huntington Long Island, NY. He also leaves nine great grandchildren whom he adored, Kaylin Dimitri, Matthew Abbondondolo, Ella Waicul, Savannah Penman, Michelle Deleo, Makenzie Waicul, Tyler Waicul, Andrea Waicul, and T.J. Waicul.
