EDENTON – Melvin John Spires, 96, of Arapahoe Trail, Edenton, a native of Norfolk, VA, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, Edenton, who is handling the arrangements. Masonic Rites will be accorded in the chapel, and a private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
