AULANDER – Mr. James Allen Tripp, age 63, of Aulander, NC, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at VidantRoanoke-Chowan Hospital.

Mr. Tripp was born July 29, 1952 in Windsor, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie “Sam” Tripp.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rhea Tripp; his son, Jason Tripp and his daughter Alyvia Akkerman; his daughter, Renee Freeman and her children, Brooke and Sarah; his mother, Evelyn Brown Tripp of Aulander; and his sister, Joyce Mitchell and her son Caleb Mitchell of Washington, NC.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tripp Family Cemetery with the Rev. Buck Leary officiating.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Aulander, NC, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. and other times at the home.
