COMO – Rose New Fowler, 59, a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 7, 2016.
She was born in Williamsburg, VA and was a former Inspector for the USDA. She was predeceased by her mother, Martha Dixon New; a daughter, Rose Ann; and a sister, Ann Lee New.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Tommy Lee Fowler of Como; her father, Calvin A. New of Como; two daughters, Spring Byrum (Rubin) and Tabatha Fowler, both of Como; her son, Tommy Lee Fowler, II (April) of Como; three sisters, Brenda Hedgepeth of Ahoskie, Janet Davis of Como and Carolyn Pierce of Ahoskie; a brother, John A. New of Lasker; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and honorary children, Angela and Russell Putnam and David and Adam McMillion.
A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Dr., Williamsburg, VA, with the Rev. Sandy Outlaw officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. 4th Ave., Franklin, VA.
