The assembly was a high energy-inactive program, which focused on anti-bullying, celebrating self-worth, college readiness, and charging students to believe in the power of overcoming adversity. This assembly also challenged students to critically think about their current life choices and the future consequences. Students were encouraged to abstain from poor life choices, be selective about who they choose as friends, and embrace their individuality.

The Beautiful Tomorrow Assembly was created by motivational speaker, music artist and college enthusiast, Jason Lewis. He has travelled all around the country speaking to youth and performing at venues aimed at promoting peace, hope and empowerment. Armed with a natural passion for community betterment and youth advancement, Lewis uses his undergraduate and post graduate degrees in addition to his vast experience with being in front of large audiences to put on the Beautiful Tomorrow Assembly.

This unique assembly fuses the genre of hip hop with the structure of a question and answer discussion panel, both under the umbrella of a message of encouragement and empowerment. The Beautiful Tomorrow Assembly has a goal to challenge the minds of the youth in attendance, and spark an excited desire to pursue their future and its endless potential.

HCPS Superintendent Dr. William Wright along with Sheila Porter, HCPS School Board Member, were in attendance at the middle school event.

Dr. Wright stated, “I was impressed with the group’s ability to bridge the gap between the normal way of presenting information that our students need, and the current presentation style to reach today’s youth. The presenters were extremely engaging, thought provoking and positive! I am certain because of the reactions that I witnessed from our students and staff, that our tomorrows will be more beautiful as a result of this awesome presentation.”
